CAD & 3D PRINTING

I have had various small 3D printing projects through the years! Some of my favorites include a replacement arm for my lab goggles, a set of medals for an intern challenge at work, and a series of genre labels for my growing home library.

LAB GOGGLES ARM REPLACEMENT

I love my prescription lab goggles, but one of the arms broke soon after I received them. I decided to model and 3D print a replacement arm and use it as an opportunity to teach our ME interns about the power of surface modeling

iNTERN CHALLENGE MEDALS

The intern program has a limited budget, but I wanted to give the interns a tangible reward for their effort designing and testing hungry, hungry, robots to collect playpen balls as part of an intern challenge. I designed and 3D printed gold and silver medals for both teams, customized to the theme of the challenge!

LIBRARY GENRE LABELS

I like to group my books loosely by genre, and I like for similar genres to be near each other. I decided I wanted to label each genre, but I need a non-permanent solution so as not to damage the built-in bookshelves in our apartment.
